Jorg Albertz :
The Story
So Far...
Rangers Shirt Number: 11
Date of Birth: January 29, 1971, Monchengladbach, Germany
Height: 1.86 Metres
Rangers Playing Position: Midfield
Previously Played For: Fortuna Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Borussia Monchengladbach
Player History: Albertz was signed by Walter Smith for Rangers at a price tag of 4 million pounds.
Jorg is adored by thousands of the Rangers faithful. He is a very exciting player who never scores "dull" goals.
Albertz is now starting to favour team positions over players, and I think he was one of Advocaats most valuable players through the europe stage.
Albertz was then, and still is, showing Dick Advocaat and others that he can not be left out of the team at any stage of any competition, and as a Rangers season ticket holder and share holder, if Jorg Albertz is to leave Rangers Football Club then it will be one of the biggest crimes of the 21st century, and Mr Murray and Mr Advocaat should do everything in their power to hold on to the German / Scot for the rest of his playing career.
Goals against Bayern Munich, which gave Rangers the lead for most of the match, was unfortunately taken away with a late deflection equaliser. However the Big German came up trumps with the game against PSV Eindhoven. The usual Albertz goal that many Rangers fans have started to recognise. It was one of the most spectacular goals through the campaign, which happened in the
84th minute to give Rangers a vital three points in the Champions league.
Now come and enjoy spectacular pictures of Jorg Albertz through the seasons in which he played
the ever important roll of "THE HAMMER".
